What MELA is

An institute for
Ethiopia’s new market

MELA Institute is an educational nonprofit. We teach how companies, ownership, and capital markets actually work, written for Ethiopia and taught in English and Amharic.

  • A curriculum, not a course

It builds from money and macro to ownership, market mechanics, valuation, and the psychology of a young market.

  • Grounded in this market

Every lesson sits in Ethiopian law, institutions, and history, from Proclamation 1248/2021 to the opening of the ESX.

  • Bilingual by design

Terms carry their Amharic beside the English, so the vocabulary of ownership belongs to the reader in both languages.

  • Education, never advice

MELA explains how the market works. It does not tell anyone what to buy.
